These AHD CCTV systems connect the DVR(Digital Video Recorder) to the CCTV cameras over a coax type cable with a bayonette twist fit video connection and a standard 12v power jack which runs along the same cable length to the CCTV cameras.
CCTV COAX Kits are very popular at Home CCTV as they offer a very effective and affordable CCTV security solution. The great range of CCTV systems on offer cover every budget and include the DVR recorders, cameras and optional HDD which is required if you want the CCTV kit to be able to record the footage from the cameras. When ordering one of the CCTV coax kits; you will receive a pre made camera cable for each of the cameras chosen as well as a CCTV camera power supply. The power supplies included have splitter cables so that all of the CCTV cameras in the kit can be powered from the same transformer saving plug sockets required and making a neater installation. Coax CCTV systems are analogue but now upgraded to High definition from 2mp 1080p kits up to the ultra HD 8mp 4K systems.
The CCTV resolution range runs from standard 2mp 1080P HD CCTV to the mid range 5mp CCTV systems up to the higher end 8mp 4k resolution CCTV. When choosing the CCTV DVR its advisable to make sure you have a few CCTV camera channels more than you will be using to allow additional CCTV cameras to be added to your system if ever required. The CCTV DVR recorders start at the minimum camera connections being 4ch then 8ch, 16ch and 32ch being the most CCTV Camera connections. Bare in mind the More CCTV cameras you run and the higher the camera resolution the more HDD (Hard Disk Drive) storage space will be required for the CCTV recordings.
