Detector Maintenance and Battery Replacement

Ensure the DoorProtect detector’s operational capability by conducting regular checks.

Whenever necessary, clean the detector body from dust, spider webs, and other contaminants. Utilize a soft dry napkin suitable for equipment maintenance.

Avoid using cleaning substances that contain alcohol, acetone, gasoline, or other active solvents on the detector.

The lifespan of the battery depends on its quality, the frequency of detector activation, and the ping interval between the detectors and the hub.

For instance, if the door opens 10 times a day with a ping interval of 60 seconds, the pre-installed battery in DoorProtect can last up to 7 years. However, adjusting the ping interval to 12 seconds will reduce the battery life to 2 years.
