The Dahua XVR5108HS-4KL-I3 is an 8-channel Penta-brid CCTV recorder designed for high-resolution surveillance systems requiring flexible camera compatibility, intelligent video analysis and the option to expand with IP cameras.

This compact 1U WizSense XVR supports HDCVI, AHD, TVI and CVBS analogue cameras, together with IP cameras. It provides 8 physical BNC inputs and can support up to 16 IP camera channels, with IP cameras up to 8MP.

With support for 4K and 5MP recording, AI-powered human and vehicle detection, perimeter protection and face recognition, it provides a flexible recording platform for residential and commercial CCTV installations.

8-channel CCTV recording with 4K support

The XVR5108HS-4KL-I3 provides 8 analogue camera inputs, supporting multiple CCTV technologies without requiring a single camera format across the whole system.

The recorder supports up to 4K resolution at 15fps and 5MP at up to 25fps, depending on the camera format and recording configuration.

Alongside its 8 analogue inputs, the XVR can support up to 16 IP camera channels.

Perimeter protection

Perimeter protection can be used for applications requiring virtual security boundaries.

Efficient video storage

The XVR supports AI Coding, Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+ and H.264 video compression.

AI Coding and smart compression technologies are designed to help reduce storage and bandwidth requirements while retaining important image detail.

The recorder includes one SATA interface supporting a hard drive of up to 16TB.

Hard drive is not included unless specifically selected as an option.

Flexible playback and remote access

Recorded footage can be reviewed using general, event, tag and smart playback modes.

The recorder supports up to 9-channel playback, depending on the configuration.

Remote access is available through compatible Android and iOS devices, while browser access is supported through Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

Technical Specifications

Connectivity and outputs

The recorder includes HDMI and VGA video outputs, allowing connection to a CCTV monitor or display. HDMI supports output up to 3840 × 2160, while the recorder also provides a Gigabit Ethernet connection for network access.

Two USB ports are provided for peripheral devices and backup, with one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port.

The XVR also supports two-way talk, with the first channel sharing its audio input connection.

Compact design

Despite its 8-channel capacity and extensive AI features, the XVR5108HS-4KL-I3 has a compact footprint of just 260 × 237.8 × 47.6mm, making it suitable for desktop installation where space is limited.

Important compatibility note

Some AI functions have specific operating limitations. Enabling IP extension mode disables EPTZ, Video Quality Analytics, Scene Changing, Face Recognition, Face Detection, SMD, Perimeter Protection, QuickPick 2.0 and Privacy Protection.

Similarly, enabling Encode Enhancement disables several AI functions. Installation and recording requirements should therefore be considered when configuring the recorder.
